READERSHIP/AUDIENCE PROFILE General EDITORIAL PROFILE The Hoosier Genealogist is a publication devoted to providing information on Indiana family history. It regularly publishes primary materials including Bible marriage estate probate will land church naturalization and pension records school and alumni enumerations old newspaper items obituaries old settlers meeting minutes and more. Each issue features articles on topics such as Indiana ethnic or migration history and how to conduct genealogy research as well as reports from IHS genealogy programs and a rare Indiana map from the IHS library s collections. THG also prints notices about upcoming IHS workshops and conferences announcements from other state and national organizations and queries from Society members about their family history. The Hoosier Genealogist is available as part of Indiana Historical Society membership or it can be purchased for $4 per issue
